EAPG cake salvar Belt Buckle
This classic EAPG pattern was originally called Jasper by Bryce Bros when the started making it circa 1880. Later collectors not knowing the makers name or OMN called it Belt Buckle or Late Buckle. The pattern may have been made by U S Glass after Bryce Bros joined the combine in 1891. This is the 10 1/4" cake plate with the turned up rim. It is 5 3/8" high. There are a fair number of utensil marks on the top. There is some shelf wear on the base. Other than as describe here I do not see or feel any dings.This was obviously a prized working cake server.
All of my items are used and will show some signs of our ancestor’s normal use. This is not damage like a chip or a crack. If use marks, in my opinion, are unusually noticeable I will comment on it.
