Carlton Ware BUTTERCUP Plate Dish #1482/6 Vintage

This popular Carlton Ware pattern features a majolica-style, raised design of a bright, yellow open buttercup with a pumpkin and green center, and green leaves on one side of the turned up rim, with a high gloss glaze.

Dimensions: This versatile dish measures 7" x 6 1/2".

Marks/Dates: c. 1950-1961. The Carlton Ware mark on the back has an added, "Australian Design," which was meant to discourage Japanese companies from copying Carlton Ware's distinctive patterns.

Condition: No cracks or chips. A bit of crazing on the yellow "petals," that seems to blend with the design.

All of our dinnerware are estate pieces. While free of cracks, chips and excessive wear (unless specified above), pieces may show signs of gentle use, including light utensil marks and color variations.
