The decoration on this tray has been described as Art Nouveau and late Aesthetic period to me but frankly I am not knowledgeable enough to say which. This Iris decorated tray is from Doulton in Burslem, England. In addition to the stamped signature it is impressed with a “9” over “DOULTON” that is under the glaze but doesn’t show in the photos. It is also marked/signed by the decorator AWC718. I believe this is hand painted but as a production item there may be a transfer to set the pattern. Please check the photo details on this. It is 8 1/2” X 6 1/2” X 1 3/8” high. I do not see or feel any dings etc.
All of my items are used and will show some signs of our ancestor’s normal use. This is not damage like a chip or a crack. If use marks, in my opinion, are unusually noticeable I will comment on it.

I ship on Wed, Thurs. and Fri. but need at least 36 hours after receipt of payment to get your purchase properly packed. Sometimes I am quicker but can not promise it as a blanket policy.
