This unique and lovely compote will be an attractive addition to your vintage glassware collection!

The ruby flashed bowl is by Duncan & Miller and dates from the 1950s and possibly earlier. The chrome base is marked Krome-Kraft, Farber Bros., New York, NY.

This particular compote is shown in the 1988 edition of Farber Brothers Krome Kraft by Julie Sferrazza.

The compote screws off the base and the base can then do double duty as a candleholder.

There is very little fading to the ruby flash. The compote is 5 6/8" tall and 5 5/8" across. The base candleholder is 3 1/2" across and is about 2 1/2" tall.

I unscrewed the base from the compote and found some discoloration which I believe to be age related. There is an area about 1/8" near the top of the base where it meets the glass that appears to be a chip in the chrome. I could not get that area to show up clearly in the pictures but believe that this flaw does not detract from the beauty of this fabulous compote.
