For your consideration, we are pleased to offer this cake stand in the Alfa pattern introduced by J.B. Higbee Glass Company ca. 1908. The pattern is now known as Rexford. New Martinsville Manufacturing Company also produced this pattern ca. 1915. This pattern of cake stand was made in varying sizes.
Antique cake stands are "Not Just For Cakes" any longer. Innovative decorators are finding many uses for their cake stands. For large and/or formal functions they are fantastic with cookies, brownies, finger sandwiches and other pleasing delicacies piled atop!
There are no chips, cracks, or major flaws. I detect a scratch on the underside of the plate portion of the stand and normal roughness around the base edges. The scalloped rim is nice and smooth. There are normal glass inclusions which are found in these vintage pieces. I think you will be very pleased to add this pattern to your EAPG collection.
The stand measures approximately 4 1/2" x 9 1/2".
