Vintage lighting is an area where I am basically clueless, and the pictures do not do this awesome ceiling fixture justice. It is really very beautiful and once restored will be a charming period addition to any home.

I have not been able to attribute this gorgeous lamp to a specific light manufactuer. There is a Hemco Twin Lite double socket that is inside the globe. A patent was applied for by George Richards & Company on June 17, 1922 for the Hemco Twin Light. Also the switch inside the globe has the initials P & S on it. I found reference to Pass & Seymour, Inc. a Chicago based socket and switch manufacturer.

The shade on this is a magnificent match for the copper and metal fixture. The milk glass globe is highlighted with two rows of embossed flowers that go all the way around the globe. The flowers are brown and blend in superbly with the metal fixture.

The Hemco Twin Lite attachment allows for two bulbs to be inserted into the shade instead of just one. And there are four hanging sockets on the underside of the fixture. This is a lovely item!!

The ficture is about 17" across which includes the arms for the four hanging sockets. From the flush mount the globe/shade is about 7" deep. According to my scales this weighs 6.13 pounds.

I'm sure my description is inadequate in areas, and if there is something specific you need to know, please, ask and I will do my best to respond.

I can find no markings on the lamp itself. However, I have not cleaned this other than to wipe down the glass globe. This is an item that I'm not comfortable with trying to clean, as I do not want to do further harm. I ask your understanding in this regard.

From what I can tell, this is a composition of copper plated metal and possibly some other metal. This item was found at an estate auction where an old home was being gutted. I saw it and right away thought how lovely it would be once restored and in a period home where it could once again be appreciated. It appears to have been original to the home being gutted. I'm basing this on the amount of dirt and grime on the fixture and on the interior sockets, etc. I was told it did work, but I'm certain that you will want to re-do all the electrical units for safety purposes.

There are chips and chiggers along the interior of the neck of the shade. The longest is approximately two inches in length. These imperfections cannot be seen when displayed, and can only be seen when looking into the shade from the flush mount view. I believe this is a common mishap caused when replacing bulbs, etc.

This is truly a lovely and charming vintage light that you will be proud to display in your home.
