Equestrian American Bisque Novelty Art Pottery Planter Mare & Foal

This wonderful vintage American Bisque Pottery Company (1919-1982) planter will be the perfect addition to any Equestrian or Novelty collection.  It is shown on page 19 of American Bisque Collector's Guide by Mary Jane Giacomini in a brown color.  In researching this item I have only found one in the brown color as shown in the text, and no others.  I've searched hundreds of listings and believe this to be a rare item and am pleased to report there are no chips, cracks, or hairlines.

This is a piece that you will display proudly with your collection.  It would make a thoughtful and treasured gift also.  I have two available so you might consider giving one as a gift and keeping the other for your own collection!

The planter measures 6" tall at the tallest point with the planter portion measuring 4 7/8" tall at the shallowest section.  Because of the shape it is difficult to measure.  The planter opening is 3 1/8" x 2 1/2" oval.  

This is truly a lovely planter and you will enjoy it for years to come.  American Bisque made many lovely Art Pottery items and this is one of the best!
