This is a acid etched bowl made by the Fenton Art Glass Company in the 1930's.
Fenton described this as their 1621 shape and it is one of the less commonly found lines. Made only in 1936 the base shape for this bowl is a dolphin handled piece with a pressed silvertone design. Then Fenton acid etched it with a variety of different designs; in this case it is the San Toy etch.
Fenton designates it as a 91/2 " crimped squared bowl 1621 - E. There are only 4 basic pieces in this line: a set of candlesticks, 2 different sized bowls and a bonbon. Each of course has a number of varieties that include flared tops, oval shapes etc.t
