Here for your consideration is a lovely Prairie Green Open Back Planter from the Frankoma Potteries. it is made of "red clay" and from the color of the clay and the brown in the glaze was probably made sometime post 1970 and into the 1980's
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or nicks. There is no scratching and there is little wear. The bottom does have a couple of scuff marks and there are two places where an extra deposit of glaze has formed a rough area,
It measures approximately 10" long and is about 5" tall. There is no soil residue in the interior - I don't believe it was ever used for other than a shelf piece. The bottom is marked Frankoma 208A.
