Lovely Limoges France Porcelain Demi Cup & Saucer
This little demitasse cup & saucer set was made by Gerard, Duffraisseix & Abbot and is marked with backstamps that were in use during 1900-1941.
The marks are: Mark 1; GDA/France and Mark 3, overglaze in red, "CH. FIELD HAVILAND printed inside double circle. These marks are shown on page 152 of Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston.
This is a lovely set of Limoges porcelain that be a superb addition to your demitasse cup & saucer collection. I detect no chips, or cracks. The cup is 2 1/8" x 2 1/4" across the mouth. It tapers down to 1 1/4" across the bottom. The saucer is 4 1/2" across. The handle of the cup is highlighted in a heavy gold.
