Here for your consideration is a lovely, Small handled Lustre ware dish made in German. I am not sure as to the age of this piece but I believe it dates to the 1920's, - 1930's.
The base clay is bone white and this piece does have a dry foot although the remainder of this dish has a high gloss glaze.
The decoration consists of a cluster of full blow roses in pink and white with a touch of yellow here and there. They remind me of the old fashioned shrub roses that used to be found in many yards. The top edge has been enhanced with a gold trim on either end of the dish is a small metallic gold floral decal consisting of tiny daisies like flowers and accompanying foliage.
The primary design has a sage green wash behind it that has a cross hatched effect. The lustre glaze extends its mother of pearl rainbow effect overt the entire inside of this piece. The outside is plain with no added enhancements. The edges are reticulated and move from the open circles into closed depression which become smaller as they move from left to right.
The handle is applied and is enhanced with a line of gold trim down the center. It has no lustre effect.
This piece measures approximately 8 1/2" long by 4 1/4" wide. It is about 2" tall.
The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks, or nicks. There is no crazing and there are no repairs. There is wear to to the gold along the rim and there are a couple of manufacturing imperfections in the design underneath the lustre treatment.
The bottom is marked Made in Germany in Gold and that mark is enclosed in a rectangle. The numbers 111 are adjacent to the mark.
