This is a gravy boat, made by the Homer Laughlin China Company. While Homer Laughlin is well known for their Fiesta wear they made hundreds if not thousands of other dinnerware patterns over the last 135 years. Homer Laughlin is still in operation today.
This pattern is called Gray Laurel and it can be found on at least 2 different shapes. The pieces I am offering are on the rhythm shape. The pieces more commonly found can be identified on the Debutante shape.
This creamer measures approximately 2 3/4" tall and is 9" wide from back of handle to end of spout. The base color is a creamy white with pale gray leaves and a soft rosy red for the berries.
It is marked with the Homer Laughlin Rhythm Back Stamp and is identified as having been produced in August, 1954.
It is in very good condition with no chips. cracks or nicks. There is wear to the bottom and some minor scratching on the exterior near the bottom. The gold trim on the top rim and again on the handle does show some wear. I find no crazing and there are no repairs. The handle is intact.
I do have several more pieces in this pattern and other Homer Laughlin patterns as well.
