This is a very nice large, rosy pink lamb planter that I have seen attributed to the Hull pottery company both on line and in antique shops.
He measures approximately 8" long x 8" tall. The lamb's coat is very textured and detailed; it looks curly.
I'm not sure as to the age but I would expect this piece was produced during the 50s perhaps early 60s. It is in very good condition with no chips cracks or nicks. It does have some fine crazing; it has no repairs.
At one time there was blue cold paint on the bow around his neck but as you can see the paint is quite worn and what's left is flaking quite badly. He is totally glazed inside and out except for his feet which are dry.
