These nicely-detailed, hollow crystal bookends or book ends) were crafted by Indiana Glass, and shown on page 166 of Spencer's "Glass Animals, 2nd Edition."
Dimensions: Each measures 4" deep x 6" high.
Marks/Dates: c. 1940's. Unmarked.
Condition: Both display well. On close examination, one horse has a few small nicks on the hollow rim, and a tiny nick on his ear that isn't visible, but can be felt. There is also a 1" shallow straw mark or scratch on his side. The other horse has the same sort of straw mark, and one nick on the hollow rim, as well as a shallow slice on the bottom of its base. Books not included.
