Lancaster Sandland Individual Cream Pitcher England
This is a wonderful vintage cream pitcher made by Lancaster and Sandland of Hanley, Staffordshire, England. It measures just 2 1/4" tall and is 3 3/4" wide from spout to back of handle. It features a charming scene of old English buildings and inns.
The front is adorned with The transfer scene of an inn, done with a Tudor half-timbered facade. The sign reads "Four Ways Inn". There are some chickens scratching in The dirt of The dooryard, and another building adjacent, with a horse in a stable being fed by The stable boy.
The bottom is marked in green with a crown and English ware Lancaster & Sandland Ltd. Hanley England. Impressed in The bottom are The numbers 165. The top rim is trimmed in gold, as is The handle.
It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is one tiny little under glaze depression on The base at The back of The creamer. The gold shows a little wear at The base of The handle.
