This vintage hobnail vase has a flared and ruffled rim, and a banded base, in amberina - a shading of red to yellow. This versatile vase would also make a nice spooner or bowl.
The hobnail pattern was manufactured by over 20 companies beginning with early pressed glass in the 1800's. It's been made in nearly every color from clear to opalescent, in every imaginable shape.
Dimensions: Measures 4" high with a 4 1/2" rim diameter.
Marks/Dates: Unmarked. We believe this is by L.E. Smith, based on other pieces in their extensive line, but it could have been made, as we mentioned above, by many companies.
