Livia Gorka Abstract Buffalo Bowl Hungarian Studio Art Pottery
This is a lovely small art pottery bowl by mid century modern artist Livia Gorka. It is a tri-corner bowl with a water buffalo motif on the inside center with an ebony background. The underside of the bowl has an olive green drip glaze with a dry red clay base. Similar bowls are being called ashtrays and that may have been the original intent but I would never use such a pretty piece this way. The bowl measures roughly 4 1/4 inches diameter by 1 3/4 inches at it's highest side peak and my guess is that it is from the 1950's or 60's. Marks: Condition:
