Here for your consideration is a Little planter made in the shape of a pair of Baby Shoes, by the McCoy Pottery Company. This attribution is provided in Newbound's Collector's Encyclopedia of Figural Planters and Vases.
The color is a light, bright blue, very suitable for a baby boy born in the later 1940s. The planter measures just short of 2 3/8" in height and is slightly under 4 1/2" across the bottom.
It is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a couple of areas where there are glaze bubble pops and one where there is a large pencil point area where the surface is gone. all imperfections can be seen in picture 3 when it is enlarged.
