McKee & Bros introduced the popular Deer and Pine Tree in 1886. McKee's original name was McKee's Band Diamond. Early collectors and dealers not knowing this adopted Deer and Pine Tree or Deer and Doe as the pattern name. This is 3 1/4" tall the largest of three sizes listed by Mordock and Adams in their Mug book. There is some roughness along the protruding mold seam at the rim. The expected shelf wear shows on the base.
All of my items are used and will show some signs of our ancestor’s normal use. This is not damage like a chip or a crack. If use marks, in my opinion, are unusually noticeable I will comment on it.
