Retro Dining with Milk Glass
This cute milk glass dinnerware set is by Federal Glass Co. and dates to 1960. Some date this pattern earlier, but it is shown in the text Collectible Glassware From the 40s, 50s and 60s as dating to 1960. This set consists of 4 dinner plates, 4 berry bowls, 4 rimmed soup/cereal bowls, and 4 cups and saucers, for a total of 20 pieces.
This vintage set is without chips, cracks, or hairlines. The design appears to be brighter on some pieces than on others. I've had this pattern before and this seems to be typical. I'm assuming this pattern was in direction competition with various other milk glass patterns from Anchor Hocking, Pyrex/Corning etc. It is a nice pattern and will coordinate with other milk glass patterns to make a wonderful retro/vintage tablescape setting.
The set weighs a little over 13 pounds and I am estimating that to package properly the package will weigh 16-17 pounds. Please, keep in mind that if I have overcharged you on the shipping costs, that I will make a prompt refund. I purchased this set together and did not want to break it up into smaller listings. If you have any questions or would like additional photographs, please, let us know. rac@glassandpotteryco-op.com.
