This is one of the larger Nemadji Pottery vases. The Southwest styling is earthy and inviting.
Nemadji Pottery was located in Moose Lake in 1923, and moved to Kettle River, Minnesota in 1972. The swirled paint technique was designed by Eric Hellmam who later went on to work for Van Briggle Pottery, and in 1950 opened the Garden of the Gods Pottery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The swirled colors are actually colors of clay from the riverbed of the Nemadji River. No two pieces are alike and this pottey is gaining in popularity, especially the larger pieces.
Nemadji Pottery coordinates with Americana, Southwest, primitive or rustic decor. It is beautiful alongside brick and terra cotta.
The interior of Nemadji Pottery is glazed, while the exterior is unglazed.
I have taken photographs that show this wonderful vase from many angles. There are oranges, greens, black, and brown colors throughout.
The vase is 9" tall. The circumference from the widest area is 21 2/8" inches. The only issue that I detect is the residue from a price sticker. I decided that I would let the new owner remove that, and ask your understanding. I don't want to risk damaging the vase.
Let this vase be a treasured addition to your home interior!
