Nikko Round Compote Candy Dish Blue Peony

This little round compote or comport if you prefer was produced by Nikko China of Japan in their Blue Peony Pattern. It measures just 2 3/4" tall x 2" wide at the base and 6" wide across the top.

The edges are scalloped and the rim is enhanced with a thin blue line. The decoration consists of a spring bouquet encircled with a wreath of blue flowers. The remainder of the surface is enhanced with a swirl of blue dots.

It is in excellent condition with no damage and minimal wear to the base. There are no surface or utensil scratches.

I could find a lot if uses for this piece. In the bathroom it would be great to hold small soaps or a candle. In the bedroom it would be a perfect resting place for jewelry and on the table it's perfect for nuts or small candies.
