OLD GERMAN THINK-OF-ME CUP GIFT SENTIMENT MOTTO

In the 19th Century, gifts were often given of cups with sentiments lettered on them such as "A Present" or "Think of Me." This cups is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or crazing, just slight wear to the gold on high points and where the handle was grasped.

all around the swirl pattern of the chine are cobalt blue flowers with red and gold leaves and vines. On the front of the cup, opposite the handle, is written Think of Me in European style gold lettering. I have shown the base mark which reads Manufactured in Germany.

This would make an interesting addition to a collection or possibly an appropriate gift.
