PAIR BOHEMIAN AMBER ETCHED WINE GLASSES OR CORDIALS

This is a matched pair of cordials, one a deeper amber than the other but with identical shape and designs. I have turned them to show both sides of the design that encircles the bowl. Both are in excellent condition, no chips, cracks. The darker glass is very slightly taller than the other though both are about 5" tall, 2 1/4" wide at the brim. The rims are carefully ground, and they ring like little bells, their tones one step apart on the musical scale. The etched design is typical of Bohemian work from around the turn of the 19th century, an intricate swirl with lines and dots in its center, other floral or feather-like etches around the bowl. The blue tinge on the rims in some photos is a reflection of another piece.
