Signed miniature bowl in amber with blue rim. Both color areas have flecks of a deeper color throughout. The bottom, shown in the second photo, is fully signed in acid etch, Boda Artist Vallien, and the number 58010.
Bertil Vallien is an outstanding contemporary glass artist who has made glass for Kosta Boda and also sells on a variety of glass sites. There are larger bowls by Vallien in the same colors and shape.
The tiny bowl sits on a base with a polished pontil and is 2" tall, 2 1/4" across. The size make it a perfect addition to an open salt collection although it was probably made as simply a miniature art glass piece. This is a superior piece of art glass appropriate for many collections. Condition is excellent, just as made, no damage of any kind.
