S Ballard Mid Century Modern Pottery Birdwing Bowl

Description: Offered is a nice piece of 1950's studio pottery. This is an oval shallow bowl by Stanley Ballard. The glaze is gray with a brown mottled rim and black speckles inside. It measures 8 by 6 inches and 1 3/4 inches at it's highest side. It is marked on the base S Ballard Vermont 8, pencilled mark 66/201?? Please note, the mark image has been altered.
Condition:
No chips, cracks, staining or crazing.
