This is a lovely emerald toothpick holder, dating to 1896. The condition is very good, one tiny chip to a panel near the middle of the rounded body. The gold band at the top, somewhat worn with age, was done by Beaumont. The Champion pattern is pictured in Glass Toothpick Holders, 2nd ed. by Bredehofts and Sanfords. It was also made in clear with ruby stain. It is a lovely pattern, bearing some resemblance to Tepee, but with smooth panels incorporated into the pattern around the bulbous body.
Height is 2 1/4", width at the rim 2".
