A fellow GPSA member was kind enough to id the color and to speculate that it probably dates to the late 1930's and was part of the Prouty Artware line. Thanks Geekaw. He also mentioned that it could have been made as a go along for the dinnerware that Metlox produced at that time.
The bowl is 2" tall and 11" wide. The exterior has a pebbled or thumbprint pattern to it. The sides are wavy and flow in and out.
It is in near mint condition. There are no chips, cracks no nicks. There is no crazing. There are no scratches and wear to the bottom of the bowl is minimal.
This would be a great addition to any collection of Metlox and would be stunning on the Dining Table if used with a flower frog from Metlox or one of the other California Potteries.
