I've not been able to find who the make of this little Planter is but it certainly has style. I believe it was probably produced in the later 1940s perhaps the early 1950s.
It's called Dancing Cheek to Cheek and I've seen it in several different color treatments so it must have been a good seller for who ever produced it. I tend to lean toward American Bisque or Shawnee for the maker but???
Her skirt is a goldenrod shade of yellow and his pants are blue; both of their hats are a light shade of pastel or mint green. The mark on the skirt in the photos has been removed. There is a tiny bit of wear to the paint on his bow tie but other than that the only wear appears on the base where you can see the original wax crayon price of 20 cents.
It measures just 5 1/2" tall and is 3" wide at the base. It is in excellent condition with no damage, There are no chips, cracks or nicks and there is no crazing.
