Pukeberg Scandinavian Art Glass Bo Borgstrom Cocktail Set1960's Retro
Designed by Bo Borgstrom, for Pukeberg in the 1960s, this is true Mid-century design. The combination of blue glass and a walnut veneer sleeve resulted in a cocktail set that commanded attention. Meshing glass and wood in design was innovative and imaginative. This set is missing at least one glass, but this is still an awesome find and you won't be dissapointed! It is reasonably priced, and won't break the bank! All pieces are in quality condition with no chips, cracks, or those pesky fleabites! All pieces have somehow managed to retain the original Pukeberg labels, so I doubt this was ever used. The walnut veneer sleeve is original to the set. It has dried and faded due to improper care over the years. There are no chips or cracks, but I do detect the beginning of slight dimpling. I believe once polished and restored to its original sheen it will be stunning! The pitcher is 11" tall x 3 1/2" across, not including the spout. The glasses are 3" tall x 2 1/4" across.
