Retro Fanatic!
This is a lovely retro shaped teapot in the Something Blue pattern by Salem China Company. It is believed this pattern dates to 1959. The teapot has a floral decoration with turquoise highlights and a great turquoise lid. This would be a fabulous addition to a Something Blue collection, or you could even mix and match it with your turquoise and white dinnerware.
This pot is truly pretty. It has spidery crazing throughout which, in my opinion, adds charm and reflects its vintage age. There are no chips, cracks, or hairlines. I detect no stains. I think you will be thrilled to add this pot to your collection.
It is 6" tall and measuring from spout tip and including the handle it is 9 1/2" across. I think any flaw, with the exception of the crazing, would be considered to be manufacture flaws. The spouts of pots are so prone to breakage and chips of some sort but this is nice and smooth. The interior of the pot is clean with no stains. The daisy-type flower is nice and crisp with the leaves being a free-form shape. I think this Retro-styling is superb. It's a great shape and will be a lovely addition to your collection.
