ROYAL DOULTON PLATTER OR CHOP PLATE 12 INCH PATTERN E 8078
Royal Doulton platter or chop plate 12 inches wide in a pattern of colorful old-fashioned garden flowers. Replacement.ltd identifies the pattern as Royal Doulton E 8078 and dates it to 1912; however, they have no pieces in stock. I have shown the complete Royal Doulton mark and a red D or R 3820. There is an impressed English registration number which is difficult to make out. The floral pattern features a variety of English garden flowers including many roses and a deep blue line around the rim. Condition is very good for a plate nearly 100 years old which has seen some gentle use. There are a few light utensil scratches in the plain center area, and there is one tiny chip, much smaller than a pin head on the blue rim. It can be seen as a tiny speck at the fourth segment past the bouquet with purple flowers dropping toward the center. US Shipping is included in the price.
