This awesome studio pottery tureen will make a most aesthetic and charming display item for a Southwestern or Folk Art type decor. I imagine that it would fit into many other decor styles also. It is an awesome sight and I don't think you have to worry about walking into someone else's home and seeing another! This is a true Studio Pottery item!

Somebody sure gave their due diligence to the handling and designing of this tureen. I am hoping the pictures can describe what I cannot. It is primitive but very stylish in todays vintage and Southwestern decors.

It is marked on the underside of the lid: DEREMR.. depending on how you read it. It could be DERMER and is dated 10-60, at least I'm assuming that is the date. There is only one flaw that I detect from damage. Other imperfections are strictly age related wear (which I see very little of) and flaws in making of the tureen. This is surely going to display wonderfully in whatever setting you choose to display it!

The flaw that I see is a chip located on the underside rim of the lid. This cannot be seen as it's on the interior ledge that fits around interior opening of the tureen bowl. It measures about 2/8". I've taken pictures of this area and I think you can see that where it is located it does not affect the display quality or integrity of the item.

You are going to be glad to have this as a part of your collectible treasures. Maybe you can even find out who the artist might be. I've searched via the Internet without any luck, but perhaps you will get lucky! If you do ever find out, I'd love it if you shared that information with me!

The lid measures 6 5/8" x 5 5/8". The tureen measuring from handle to handle is about 10" x 7 1/2" x 4 1/2" deep. Prior to packaging for shipping it weighs an impressive 6.2 pounds.
