Here for your consideration is a state Souvenir Plate from Vernon Kilns. This plate features the State of Wisconsin and was done in honor of the Wisconsin Centennial 1848 - 1948. The front features views from the State Capitol in Madison, Bascom Hall, The Wisconsin Club. Marquette University and Cathedral Square. It also features a Buck with the words Sportsman's Paradise below it and a young boy with a straw hat and fishing pole and the words Vacation land beneath him.
The back features the Wisconsin seal and the words Commemorating the one hundredth Anniversary of the State of Wisconsin.
Around the seal are the words Plate designed expressly for S J Casper Co, Milwaukee, WIS by Vernon Kilns USA.
The color of the printing on the plate is a cross between Brown and burgundy. It is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or nicks. There is no crazing and there is no scratching. I see no damage or wear.
This plate is less commonly found than many of the other Wisconsin Plates done by Vernon Kilns.
